At Leyland Capital, our focus is to work with owner managers and SME's, helping them find investment and exit solutions for their businesses. Although sector agnostic, we have significant experience in SaaS, Financial Services/Fintech, Sports, Ecommerce, Technology, Manufacturing and Distribution.
Having worked on a variety of transactions for more than 10 years, we understand the potential pitfalls of a process, and how we can mitigate them, to have a greater chance of success, to the completion of a transaction.
You may be promised a Director or Partner led service elsewhere, but at Leyland Capital, this is a requirement I’ve set.
Although I will be supported on any Engagement by the Mergers & Acquisitions team, our promise to clients is a true owner-manager and Director led service, and that’s what we deliver.
This gives you as a client, the experience and confidence throughout any process that a transaction of this nature requires.


Christian Hitchen
Founder & MD
After qualifying ACA at BDO, I moved to the Mergers, Acquisitions and Private Equity team at RSM, where I spent a number of years completing transactions across the mid market. I eventually moved to a Corporate Finance boutique Seneca, where I specialised in leading mid market trade and private equity transactions from inception to completion.
After working alongside owner managers in Corporate Finance for the last 10 years, I felt like the market was really missing a true Mergers and Acquisitions offering run itself, by an owner manager. I therefore founded Leyland Capital. Having worked on trade and Private Equity transactions ranging from £3m to £300m, we specialise on delivering successful exits for owner-managers, SMEs and shareholders in this range.

Chris Booth
Financial Modelling
Chris Qualified CIMA whilst on the graduate training programme at Rolls-Royce and spent the following 10 years working in operational roles. This included customer facing and operating business units, both at home and overseas, including two years in the Corporate Development / Strategic Planning department for the Group. Chris then moved to become Head of Finance at a £15m Turnover, SME automotive manufacturer and helped enhance the finance function’s standing within the business, through insightful analysis and scenario modelling.
Chris will provide specialist modelling support to the Corporate Finance team.

Joseph Elsaghir
Lead Researcher
Having worked for a number of years in the UK Venture Capital and Private Equity markets, particularly in London, Joe has a strong background and understanding of the UK mid market and SME's. Working on both sides of the M&A table, Joe brings valuable insight to the team, understanding the needs and requirements of both vendors and acquirers. Joe supports Christian on a number of live mandates, through market mapping and research exercises.
